Tapamveni
This multimedia project is centered around “Tapamveni”, a piece for solo cello by Composer and Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Peter Child. The piece is inspired by ancient rock art of the indigenous people of the North American southwest. The project merges the performance of “Tapamveni” by cellist Jan Müller-Szeraws with images by Ekkehart Malotki, Professor Emeritus of the Northern Arizona University, author and expert of Hopi language and culture.
